Yup, once again the fortune cookie I selected holds true! 
You guessed it: I went out for Chinese tonight. I was a little pissed that I missed the first presidential debate BUT I haven’t done supper w/ T, Isa and MJ for a while so it was very nice; fun conversation as always. I was going to do my entry about Education this Saturday depending on how early I got up, but I realized I won’t be in town. I’ll be at this ‘Spirit Weekend’ thing.
About politics, yes I really wanted to watch the debate live, because I wanted to see if Bush would say something stupid or non-sensical as usual! Sadly, I think this is again a question of choosing between Dumb and Dumber. My personal views on this (which I might elaborate on in a future entry) are [in a nutshell] that if you remove Bush now, it’s like changing project managers in a company in the middle of a major project. Not usually a good idea unless the present guy is doing a REALLY horrible job and you’re 150% sure the new guy will be MUCH better. In this case, I highly doubt the new guy will be better. Anyhow, another interesting political entry I want to discuss is: “Does democracy lead to capitalism?” we were discussing it at work over lunch. Please wait until the actual entry is put in before making a remark on that!
