According to a new survey from CNET, the top 3 items on men and women’s Christmas wishlists this year were the following: Women Peace and Happiness Men Big Screen Television Women are from Venus Men are from Pluto (or something.). Credit where it’s due: I found this on caoimheb’s [...] Last night I didn’t get to put in an entry because I was pretty exhausted. I went to work, went to the gym, did some kickboxing/jiu-jitsu sparring with Craigie, got home, showered, bought a nice fish+chips supper for the family and finally, while watching “The Day After Tomorrow” (which I will review later) I fell [...] Happy Thanksgiving to all the American readers! :) In the spirit of thanksgiving, here’s some random knowledge for you: Today I heard on Mix96 that wild turkeys run at ~30 km/h. Pretty fast for a turkey! At about 17:20 my teammate called and informed me that we were finalists in the ICBC competition!!! :D Now the pressure’s on to win the gold! Congratulations to all the Concordia participants. Apparently we beat out 31 schools to get into the final round. Good stuff! Here’s the list of finalists (in alphabetical order) from www.icbconline.ca: Here’s something interesting I came across today: According to my answers, I’m worth $2,743,269.66 How much are you worth? Tomorrow at 17:00 I find out if I’ve made the final round at ICBC. I’m a little nervous. Wish me luck!!! I thought this was a Sri Lankan expression since I’ve only ever heard my parents and grandparents use it. I just found that The Dog in the Manger is a fable. Dog in the manger (n): an ugly-natured person who prevents others from enjoying what would be an advantage to them but is none to him/her.
