No, not what you think. The things I do…it turns out I needed to take 5 shots before going to Sri Lanka because of the current situation! I hate needles! I kept telling the nurse I’m surprised that with today’s technology they haven’t found a better way to get this into your system. History: the last time I had my meningitis shot, (about 4 years ago) I hadn’t eaten all day, and I passed out a couple of seconds after the shot. Just watching the nurse prepare the needles and band-aids made me sick. Anyway…I was a brave boy. I took 3 shots in one arm and 2 in the other. I just drank some disgusting mix vaccine for Cholera, and I have to start taking the malaria pills next week. Gross…
The nurse told me that someone came in a week ago saying he wanted to volunteer in SL, and wanted to know what shots he had to take. The nurse said: “He changed his mind very quickly when he saw all the shots he had to take!”. Good thing I’m a little more dedicated than that…but yes, watching this (see pic) freaked me out a little. My stomach hurts. Maybe that “cholera punch” I drank is working…
