Milk Hoppers

When I arrived in SL, I wanted to try the milk hoppers here. You can get them at some Sri Lankan restaurants in Canada. For those of you who don’t know what a hopper is, I can’t really explain it, but if you like I’ll take some of you out for them when I’m back in Montreal. I looked around CMB, but they only had plain hoppers or egg hoppers. It’s usually a breakfast meal. When I couldn’t find them in CMB, Jacob told me that milk hoppers are a Jaffna thing. We just drove around Jaffna town with the 3 wheeler to find some. I’ll have to take some of you out for these when I get back to Canada. The cost for a milk hopper here is Rs.7. The cost of a hopper in Montreal is about Rs.75 (~$1).
