No Need Alarm Clocks

Like clockwork, the kids came and woke us up again at 06:00 this morning. I could hear them outside for about ½ hr earlier and one of them finally peeked in and woke us up. These people are very happy to see foreigners roughing it out with them. One of the boys keeps asking if we want tea or something to eat. I was so tired from building that I went back to sleep while Jacob took his bath. I finally looked in a mirror after almost 4 days. I look like shit, but that’s what happens when you’re “camping”.

Here’s the well where we would collect water to go take showers. I was too lazy this morning to bother collecting the water and going somewhere else so I just shaved right here. Notice I’m dressed like one of the locals now (sarong has replaced pants/shorts) and I’m not smiling anymore because the novelty of collecting well water has worn off!

We saw this fisherman making some nets last night and this morning he came and showed us his catch. These things were still alive and moving!
