I was trying to think of the equivalent in English: Resourcefulness? Practicality? Ingenuity? Anyway, let’s say resourceful. I was so impressed by the resourcefulness these guys [...] *Transcribed* Work starts in the morning at 06:30, stops around 10:00 (because it gets too hot) and starts again from 16:00 until 22:00 or so. We dug the cut out for the outline of the foundation. It must have been that damn Kottu Rotti last night! Kottu is a mix of sliced up rotti with beef, egg, vegetables and spices that is normally very good. Luckily [...] *Transcribed* We just finished setting up our new tent in the IDP camp. Using the headlights Natalia got for me (thanks!!!), we managed to set it up in a little over 5 minutes. T was the first person who showed me how to put up one of these tents 2 summers ago. Jacob asked me what I thought “3 Cubes” meant since rocks don’t come in cubes. It was obvious that this was some sort of measurement unit. I was pretty sure [...] *Transcribed* We ended up leaving Colombo at 04:00, took a 4 hour break in Vavuniya and stopped for lunch for about 30 mins. It’s now almost 22:30 and we’re about an hour from Mullaitivu; yes it takes a full day just to get here. The driver seems exhausted because he’s [...] Looks like someone found a way around some of the delays. I’m leaving to Mullaitivu in about 3 hours. We decided it would be efficient to do an overnight trip. Hopefully I’ll have some good news when I’m back in a few days. Jacob and I were getting ready to go to Mullaitivu this afternoon. We went out and bought a tent, some inflatable pillows and got our ‘survival gear’ ready to go. We got a 3-man tent (it looks new) for ~$45CAD from some guy on the street (don’t ask).
