This guy just came up and he asked me what I was doing. I said I’m writing my journal. I gave him most of the “go away” signs, but now he’s sitting next to me and has his face almost on my paper. He seems to be able to speak English, I wonder if he can read. I suppose I can just ask, but where’s the fun in that? Let’s try something different: Hello! Reading MY paper is very bad! VERY VERY BAD. No response. I just looked over and smiled, so I guess he can’t read. There’s my answer.
Anyway, this morning we did some more work on the building because the big rocks finally arrived. It’s really neat to see how they place the rocks of various shapes and sizes into a neat line. Since that wasn’t something I could do, I just carted some of the rocks in a wheelbarrow so they would be closer to the guys. They said laying bricks is pretty easy so I should be able to help with that if they’re not finished before I’m there next time.

Look at the shape and size of the rocks in front of him and look how straight the line is behind him! It was really cool how they would try and find rocks of the right size and shape and fit them in (like a puzzle) so they would be straight. You’ll also notice that the pillar gap has also been filled.
