This Saturday, June 4th, Heshani had a party for me. We were expecting (and prepared food for) about 20 people. In the end, about 30 people came around. Party started around 21:
). They weren’t REAL Rice Krispies, so they weren’t as good, but people said they liked them nonetheless. In fact, a lot of people there hadn’t even heard of them before! On to the pics:

Here are the ladies (and Robin) having a chat in the kitchen. Being a good host, I decided to interrupt them to take some pictures. I’m not sure why S didn’t come to pose!? Anyway, the center pic is Robin and I. The last one is Jackie, myself and Joanne. J&J (I like that…he he) are Freddy’s nieces; when I first arrived in SL, Freddy mentioned that she wanted to introduce me to them, but alas, I only got to meet them 4 months later!! They’re both lovely girls!

Feeding cake to people is something I’ve never done before, but they all said I had to. The cake-feeding didn’t last long because despite me holding my hand out, Michael managed to drop some cake on me!! You can’t really see it, but that’s my classic “Oh DAYum! You dropped chocolate mousse cake on me”-face. OK, that’s not really one of my ‘classic’ faces, since people don’t usually drop chocolate mousse cake on me, but I’m pretty sure I said something along those lines. As you can see, Heshani, Harini (seated) and Michael seemed to find it quite funny.

Let us start off by pointing out the big chocolate stain on my pants! Moving along…this is a pic with “The Auntys”. When in Sri Lanka, the word “Aunty” must be pronounced the proper Sri Lankan way. Some of you know what that is, for the rest of you, I’ll teach you the proper pronunciation when I’m back home. First pic, left to right: Harini, myself, Hesh, Roshni and Freddy. Don’t ask me why Hesh stuck her foot out. I guess she wanted to give the pic a bit of flair! Second pic, left to right: same plus S and Joanne. Last pic: Despite having dropped cake on me, as you can see, I didn’t take it personally!
I think you can see the family resemblance (read: the big noses) between Hesh and I in this pic. It’s scary that a couple of times people have thought I was her boyfriend!? She usually responded with: “Chick! (which means “Ewwww…” in Sinhala and Tamil) This is my NEPHEW!”

Awwwww…Kamal and Roshni…what a cute couple!
Here’s Nirm trying to sneak a kiss (he wasn’t actually!), the look on Hesh’s face is priceless though! Last one is Nimmi and Hesh. I refer to Nimmi as a celebrity, but she hates it. What else do you call people who play main characters in movies and have their pictures on billboards!?

I asked Nimmi for a serious face on this one, since she never seems to be serious! LOL Here’s another pic with J&J later that night. Then we’ve got Robin havin’ a good time and you can see Kamal in the background who seems disappointed he’s missing the action!

After all this running around, I needed a break, so I went and sat under a tree.
I believe it was about 01:30 or so by this point and then those of us that were left headed over to the Blue for a little while. I was
glad to see that Hesh had the hook up to get us all in for free!
Fun party, good times! Thanks to all who showed up, I hope you had a good time. Special thanks to Kamal, Roshni and Michael who came and cleaned up afterwards. Last, but definitely not least, thanks for setting it all up Heshani AUNTY…
