Getting the Roof On

We finally got the pieces on for the roof. About 6 of us carried these huge things and lift them up onto the walls! Sorry, don’t know the technical term for those roof things. Rafters? Once this thing is done it’ll be fun to say we actually built this whole thing with our bare hands and no heavy machinery! When I’m older I’ll be able to tell my kids: “Son, back when I was your age we didn’t have all these fancy teleportation devices! We had to carry everything around by hand! We built this here church in Sri Lanka with our bare hands!”

I asked Krishan to hold the rope for me so I could get some pictures. You can see one has alread been installed and they’re putting the bolts on the second one.
