The other day some guy came up to my car and said: “Est ce que vous parlez Arabe?” (French: Do you speak Arabic?”) I responded: “Shou?” (Arabic: “What?”) He rattled off something in Arabic. I said I didn’t speak Arabic and drove off. Don’t ask. It was 4AM and I was tired. This reminded me of something I did back when I was 14 or so…
I was sitting around the school lounge talking with some friends when a lady ran up to us and said: “Has anyone seen my kids?!?!”. She was a blonde, blue eyed lady. I thought this was VERY random (who the hell asks a bunch of 14yr olds if you’ve seen her kids??) so I answered:
-“Do they have blond hair?”
-“Yes.”
-“Blue eyes?”
-“Yes! Yes!”
-“Are they about this tall?” (I was moving my hand up and down)
-“Yes! That’s them!”
-“No, I’ve never seen them.”
It turns out that one of the kids that woman was looking for is now in my little sister’s class and apparently she remembers that incident! This line of conversation originally came from Space Jam in the scene where the aliens are looking for Bugs Bunny and he ends up describing himself (hence, the title of this post).
