I met a guy in the hallway the other day who was helping one of the girls move in. He asked me where I was from, what I was studying, if I was working, etc. I told him that I wasn’t working at the moment, but I have been signed by company x to start in August. I asked him if he had ever heard of them. He was like: “Of course I’ve heard of x!! You must be really good for them to have signed you this far in advance! What do you think about Microsoft?” “What do you mean, ‘what do I think about Microsoft’?”, I asked. “Do you want to come work for us?”, he said. Apparently he was a recruiter. I told him I’m happy with what I’ve got now, but I’ll let him know later! :) I don’t think they would have hired me on a part-time basis anyway, but I think I’ll ask about that if I see him again. I’m all about contacts, but stupid me forgot to get his business card! Next time…
