Skipping Class…

I just skipped my first Global IT Management class this morning. Bad Ian. Bad Bad Ian. I was reminded of my CEGEP (college) days when I wouldn’t attend classes if they started before 09:00! Note: About 40% of my classes started before 09:00, so I didn’t go to school very much.

Yesterday night I couldn’t get to sleep. For some reason I had so much on my mind: Everything from V, to my crappy performance at Commerce Games, to my grandfather, to my family, to my aunt in Sri Lanka, to the situation in Sri Lanka, to what I’m doing in this country, to what courses I should be taking, to IT in China (don’t ask!), to my new consulting career, to what I’m going to be doing this summer, to what my life is going to be like…

Those who know me know that my mind goes at 100mph and tends to jump around all over the place. Quite a few people have told me: “Wow! When does your mind ever get to rest??”. Somehow, everything hit its peak around 03:00 and I decided I wasn’t going to class the next morning and I should really get to bed. I did my best to clear my mind and finally fell asleep about half an hour later…

I have my first Swedish language course this evening from 17:00 to 21:00 so that should be fun! I’m going to go to the post office and see if I can pay my rent and get the internet in my room setup finally!
