I just finished my first Swedish language course. I was a little scared because the schedule said the class was from 17:00 – 21:00! Thankfully, the class is only 3.25 hours with a 15 minute break and not 4 hours!
The teacher told us that in her 10 years of teaching at KTH she has never had such a culturally diverse class. These are the countries people were from: China, Bulgaria, USA, Holland, Germany, UK, Romania, Singapore, Indonesia, Iran, Austria, Australia, Ukraine, France, Portugal, Canada and Italy.
Another observation I made was that most people in the class spoke [at least] 2 languages fluently except the 2 Australians and the American. I believe languages are very valuable, so if you can only speak one, pick up another!
