I’m really not big on Valentine’s day because I know it’s just a big marketing scam, but regardless, happy Valentine’s day to everyone! V, I’m sorry I couldn’t be there on our first Valentine’s day, but I’ll make it up to you!
I have a pretty exciting day ahead:
First, I’m going to watch a panel debate about how China and India’s growth will be affecting the global environment, economy, politics and public health. The central issues that will be discussed are found in this report: State of the World 2006: China and India Hold World in Balance. There are some big names on the panel of debaters so it should be good.
Second, all exchange students and guest researchers in Stockholm have been invited to City Hall (Stadshuset), where they hold the Nobel Prize ceremonies, for a buffet/gala. I’m meeting some of my corridor mates at T-Centralen (central station) and we’ll be going down together. Looks like I’ll be getting a lot of free food and wine today! LOL
