I know I’m a little late on this, but since I don’t normally pay attention to these things I only found out about it when I was in Edinburgh. It seems that Jackie won the Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competition!
I first met her at my birthday party last year. Lovely girl, smart and easy to talk to.
I’ve seen previous Miss Sri Lanka contestants and to be honest…most of them wouldn’t win a Miss Neighbourhood contest where I come from I wasn’t that impressed. Regardless, I’m happy to say that this year’s winner (and runner up) are quite cute!
I found a listing of this year’s Miss Universe delegates. I actually think that Jackie has a chance! My top 3 picks (based on looks alone) are:

Emily: I have no idea why you people let chathurika down as she is truly srilankan as for jackie she is fake man.. met her and she is something not real… gosh nothing srilankan in her.. how could anyone possibly represent the country if she never was in the country itself.. no offendse she is beautiful and smart but not well deserved.. its about time SL showed real talent..
