I’ve added (and deleted) a few more blogs in the “Sites I Visit” section on the right. I realized that I have quite a few blogs in my bloglines account that I do check up on regularly, so they deserve some credit for entertaining me!
My main criteria for adding blogs has generally been: good content and regular updates. I admit, I’ve been pretty bad with the latter as of late, but I’m hoping to change that! Here it goes:
BoingBoing: A Directory of Wonderful Things
BoingBoing is a collection of random interesting news and facts. Here’s an example of a “wonderful thing” you can find on BoingBoing: Four Year Old Drumming Prodigy. I cannot believe this kid is only 4…absolutely amazing! What an excellent transition to the next blog on my list…
London, Lanka and Drums
Here’s a gentleman who’s only been blogging for about 7 months and he’s really got the hang of it! He’s a drummer who offers up some interesting posts about adventures in Sri Lanka, photography, music and other random thoughts. Similarily to what he said about me being open and honest, I like the fact that although I don’t know him, his blog appears to be an accurate reflection of himself as he promises in this entry.
The Dilbert Blog
I’m a big Scott Adams fan. Not only for the Dilbert comic strip, but because his books offer a lot of thought-provoking insight. If you haven’t read The Dilbert Principle, I highly recommend it. The Dilbert Future is another great book (especially the last chapter). A lot of people don’t understand the humor because they either don’t work in offices or don’t work with/know techie-types very well. I like the fact that he regularly thinks outside of the box and his cynical humor always makes me laugh. His general corporate philosophy is that you put incompetent employees where they are likely to do the least damage: in management. Believe me…I’ve seen this first hand.
