Keep Moving Forward

Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious…and curiosity keep leading us down new paths.

-Walt Disney

This weekend, I watched Disney’s Meet the Robinsons with my sisters. The movie ends with the quote above. The Robinson family’s motto was: “Keep moving forward!”. Despite setbacks and whatever comes in your way, always remember to keep moving forward.

It had been a while since I’d watched a Disney movie, but now I remember why I like them so much! You get lessons that are valuable for kids as well as grownups!

It was a wonderful movie! Way to go, Disney…!

That particular movie has been lying around my house for quite some time now. Haven’t gotten around to watching it yet. But I have to confess that lion king and little mermaid will always remain firm favourites though.

My family enjoyed that movie sooo much and we kept nerdily chanting the motto for a few days after, for every silly reason. I also loved the Narnia movie and wizard of oz(“there’s no place like home…!”)!

Angel – Not one my favourites, but still good! :)

Gutterflower – The Lion King is by far my favourite. I would probably put Aladdin and Tarzan in 2nd and 3rd place.

Indyana – Ha ha nice! No, we didn’t chant the motto although it’s something I do keep in mind more often!

I wasn’t a big fan of Narnia, but maybe it’s also because the Disney movies I like typically have soundtracks that are done by celebrities (or songs that are eventually sung by celebrities!).

I totally agree with you but sometimes, even if you know they are valuables, you just cannot apply these concepts to your own life… Thanks for sharing this, you make up my day!

I’m glad this made your day!! :)

As to not being able to apply this to one’s life…

I believe this is one of those general things that can (and probably should) apply to everyone. Yes, it might take some effort to not focus on the past and keep moving forward, but it’s certainly possible for everyone!
