Canadian American Border/Customs AreaOn Saturday afternoon I drove down to the States with my parents to do some shopping. You’re normally allowed a certain amount of goods that each person can bring in without paying any taxes and we had purchased a few hundred dollars worth of stuff. We drove back late and night [...] I took a few random pictures around the hotel and then in the airport before we left the country. Here are a couple of pictures of the hotel and the surrounding lounging areas. Notice the storm brewing in the last picture. Royal DeCameron Montego Bay, Jamaica These are some pictures of the area just outside the hotel. You [...] On the Friday we went to the Pier 1 club which (as the name states) is at the pier. The music was pretty good and we all had a good time. First pic is Heather and I while we were still at the hotel; I tried to convince her to come out, but unfortunately they had [...] [Finally] Continuing with the Jamaica update… After the Black River we headed over to the beautiful YS Falls where we were able to swing on Tarzan ropes into the falls. Just outside the falls area there’s a big field with some horses. Here’s the big sign at the door and finally a picture of the [...] We had planned a few day trips, unfortunately we only managed to do one. I was glad we chose to go to Black River and YS Falls (next entry)! We rented a van and headed out. There’s Amber, Daniel and E in the back. Second pic is while we were driving. I told people how [...] Alright…so this was [one of] THE stories of the trip. When we left Montreal, we decided that one day we would spend the entire day drinking and whoever lasted the longest would be the “winner”. We figured we would have a drink every 30 minutes as of 13:00. It ended up taking a while to get [...] Glitters was the resort club at our hotel. Most people know that the resort clubs are crap, unless of course…you bring the party! We managed to convince a whole bunch of people to come right after Manju’s boat party. That was the only day of the week the club was packed! Sadly, this is [...] Given how sociable we all are, by the second day most of the people at the resort knew who we were. We met a doctor from the UK named Manju who asked us to come party with him on a boat. It was a lot of fun. We had a good time until [...] Every night there was some really good post-supper entertainment which was usually followed by some sort of gameshow. Jamaica has some amazing dancers! It’s pretty cool to see the moves some of these girls manage to pull! This kid (from Quebec) was imitating the dancers. Adorable! The last couple of pictures are from the [...] OK, finally, I’m getting to my Jamaica pictures! My friends Eason, Daniel, Mo, Gary (Daniel’s uncle) and I spent a week at the Royal DeCameron hotel in Jamaica this summer from July 9th – 16th.
